Nothing Says Celebration Like Christmas Lights |

In my opinion, there is nothing more peaceful and relaxing than seeing
houses decorated with Christmas lights on an early evening drive. The
white lights really look heavenly especially when there is snow on the
ground. The lights that we can see in the holiday season are just a
prelude to the beauty that are on display on the month of December.
The most special Christmas memories that I can recall are related to Christmas tree decorating. My dad was always in charge of putting the Christmas lights on the tree. I remember one particular Christmas, when my father had the Christmas lights perfectly placed on the tree when my mother discovered that only half of the lights worked.
As a result, my poor father had to check every bulb on those strings of lights. Fortunately, he was successful after working for about an hour, and the white glow of the lights lit up our living room. On that night, I just sat and stared at that brightly lit tree for what seemed like hours.
Nowadays Christmas lights come in every color imaginable. I don't mind various colors but the blinking lights drive me crazy. I can’t enjoy the beauty of the season when my eyes can't focus on the twinkling beauty for more than a second before they flicker off. I wish that people would stick to the non-blinking Christmas lights in the future.
I can also find it very annoying when people put their Christmas lights on bushes and trees without any organization. They would just throw the lights in any direction. I just don’t understand why they can spend some extra time to neatly wrap the lights around those trees and bushes.
My wedding took place just a few days after Christmas. Our reception location was decorated in thousands of white Christmas lights. The dim atmosphere and the sparkling of the white lights made my dream wedding ceremony come true. It set the mood perfectly everyone at the wedding seemed to love it as well.
Christmas lights can make any location seem dreamier and more relaxing. Lights can set the mood for romance or tranquility no matter what season of the year it may be.
